If you’re heading downtown to support the Sacramento Kings in their first playoff game in 17 years, here are three tips before you go.
- Reserve parking in advance at SacPark.org: The SacPark reservation system offers the option to reserve your spot ahead of time for both discounted daily rates and special events. Reservations for special event parking at City-owned garages will open two hours prior to the start of the game. Pricing and timing will vary at private partner garages and lots.
- Check meters near Golden 1 Center: When an event at Golden 1 Center expects to exceed 15,000 attendees, SacPark meters will activate a special event meter flat rate within a three-block radius of Golden 1 Center two hours prior to the event start time. Fans attending games are encouraged to use off-street facilities for longer-term parking.
- Watch for event road closures: The Sacramento Police Department will facilitate traffic control measures on surrounding streets before and after the event.
The Kings will also be hosting events starting Friday, April 14, including a free fan zone at Ali Youssefi Square. Visitors should check the meter or pay kiosk to view enforcement hours and rates when parking.
