Interested in taking more trips by bike or scooter in Sacramento?
Join City Transportation Planning staff for Urban Bicycling and Scooting 101, a free virtual monthly class to learn tips to improve your rides.
“This class is a great introduction or a refresher for people who bicycle and scoot on-street in Sacramento,” said Casandra Cortez, transportation planner with the Department of Public Works. “No bicycle or scooter is needed to participate.”
In the class, attendees will learn about:
- Bicycling/scooting and the law
- Bicycling/scooting on the street
- Traveling through intersections
- Avoiding crashes
- How to enjoy the ride
The next class is May 10, and all classes are held monthly over Zoom. Those interested in attending can register online here.
