Interested in joining SacPD? Learn more at this upcoming hiring expo

The Sacramento Police Department is hosting a hiring expo on Saturday, June 3, at the Sacramento Police Academy (2409 Dean St. in McClellan Park).

Police department representatives, including Officers, Dispatchers, Records, CSI and Forensics will be available to provide information on the different opportunities available in each area and how to apply. There will also be a tour of the police academy.

“This is a great opportunity for those interested to come learn more about SacPD, find out about the different job offerings and to prepare for the hiring process,” said Sergeant Zach Eaton. “We encourage all those who want to serve our community to join us to learn more.”

The hiring expo is broken up into two portions:

  1. From 9 a.m. to noon there will be an overview of the department that will showcase positions available, 20-minute mock interviews will take place and then a practice Physical Ability Test (PAT).
  2. From noon to 3 p.m., the department will offer official testing including oral interviews and PAT.

Participants should bring a suit or wear business attire for the interviews and physical training clothes for the PAT. Showers will be available. RSVP is required.

Those interested in attending can sign up here.
