Sac PD partners with ‘America’s Most Wanted’ to aid in apprehension of murder suspect

The Sacramento Police Department has partnered with the television show “America’s Most Wanted” in the pursuit of justice for a wanted murder suspect.

Following a rigorous investigation into the heinous crime that shook the Sacramento community, the Sacramento Police Department has enlisted the expertise and national platform of “America’s Most Wanted” to aid in the apprehension of the suspect.

The collaboration underscores Sac PD’s commitment to utilizing every available resource to ensure the safety and security of our community, officials said.

The suspect, who is identified as 29-year-old Tahje Michael of Sacramento, is wanted in connection with a 2022 murder of a beloved son, father, friend, and Sacramento native. Michael is considered armed and dangerous, and Sac PD urges anyone with information regarding his whereabouts to come forward immediately.

The segment about the pursuit of Michael airs on “America’s Most Wanted” at 8 p.m. tonight.

Through partnerships with “America’s Most Wanted,” Sac PD aims to harness the power of nationwide awareness and collective vigilance to swiftly bring Michael to justice, officials said.

“We recognize the importance of community involvement in law enforcement efforts, and we encourage anyone with information, no matter how small or seemingly insignificant, to contact the Sacramento Police Department,” the Sac PD said in a media release. “Together, we stand united in our unwavering pursuit of justice and the protection of our community.”

The Sacramento Police Department encourages any witnesses with information regarding this investigation to contact the dispatch center at (916) 808-5471 or Sacramento Valley Crime Stoppers at (916) 443-HELP (4357). Callers can remain anonymous and may be eligible for a reward up to $1,000.
