Join the 916 Day movement to beautify parks across Sacramento

The annual 916 Day event series is around the corner where volunteers can celebrate city parks with a variety of volunteer events across Sacramento.

Hosted by the Department of Youth, Parks, & Community Enrichment (YPCE) and the Parks & Community Enrichment Commission, residents can join seven beautification and service events across the city to promote volunteerism and partnerships at parks and green spaces.

“Our City parks are the heart of our communities,” YPCE Director Jackie Beecham said. “Your volunteer efforts alongside our commissioners and staff will enhance our parks in a meaningful way, creating cleaner, safer, and more beautiful spaces for everyone to enjoy.”

Volunteers will enjoy snacks and refreshments at all events and are encouraged to register online using the City’s ActiveNet system here.
