The City of Sacramento has launched SizeUp Sacramento, a free innovative online tool designed to provide small business owners and aspiring entrepreneurs with valuable market research and data insights to support informed decision-making in today’s competitive market.
To introduce the tool and highlight its features, the City’s Office of Innovation and Economic Development will host a virtual event on Thursday, Jan. 30, at 11:30 a.m. on Zoom. The event will include remarks from City and business leaders, as well as a live demonstration of the program’s capabilities.
“Sacramento is building a vibrant and inclusive economy that supports entrepreneurs, attracts investment, and fosters community growth,” said Vice Mayor Karina Talamantes, who will represent the City at the virtual event. “By investing in innovative tools and our small business community, we’re investing in Sacramento’s economic future.”
“In today’s data-driven economy, access to actionable information is vital for small business success,” added Assistant City Manager Mike Jasso. “This software ensures that every entrepreneur in Sacramento has data to compete and thrive.”
The program empowers local entrepreneurs to develop strong business plans, identify growth opportunities, and improve operations. These efforts drive business success while strengthening the local economy through job creation and innovation.
With the new tool, Sacramento small business owners can:
- Analyze their business performance with objective, industry-specific data.
- Identify potential customers, suppliers, and business opportunities.
- Optimize marketing strategies to effectively reach target audiences.
- Understand the spending habits and demographics of local consumers.
SizeUp Sacramento is powered by SizeUp, a nationally acclaimed tool that earned a first-place award from the U.S. Department of Commerce for its effectiveness in enhancing business competitiveness and fostering job creation.
