Looking for ways to save water this summer? This free City service could help

Sacramento residents who need help cutting back on how much water they use this summer can schedule a free house call with the City’s water conservation team.

“This is a great opportunity for families that are using more than 500 gallons of water per day during the summer,” said the City’s water conservation coordinator William Granger.

During a house call, a water conservation specialist will walk with a customer through their home or property to help find ways to save water, set sprinkler timers and bring free water-saving tools, including high-efficiency showerheads and faucet aerators.

“Customers can also get pre-qualified for one of the many water-saving rebates we offer,” said Granger.

Customers can see how much water they are using each day on their utility bills.

To schedule a free house call, email the water conservation team or call 916-808-5605.
