A wide range of services aimed at supporting healthy, active aging will be available in one place during the Older Adult Resource Fair on Friday, May 8, at the Hart Senior Center (915 27th St.).
Hosted by the City of Sacramento’s Youth, Parks, & Community Enrichment Department in collaboration with Councilmember Phil Pluckebaum, the event will run from 10 a.m. to 1 p.m. at 915 27th St.
The fair will connect older adults with information on City programs, healthcare, transportation and other essential services designed to support independent and engaged living.
“This event reflects the City’s ongoing commitment to supporting older adults with programs and services that promote health, independence and connection,” said Recreation Manager Katie Houser. “By bringing together City resources alongside our community partners, we’re making it easier for residents to access the support they need in one place.”
A variety of organizations are expected to participate, including ACC Senior Services, Del Oro Caregiver Resource Center, UC Davis Comprehensive Cancer Center, Sacramento Regional Transit and Legal Services of Northern California, among others. Vendors will provide information on topics ranging from caregiving support and healthcare to transportation and technology.
Located in Midtown, the Hart Senior Center serves as a hub for older adult programming in Sacramento, offering classes, social activities and services that promote wellness and community connection year-round.
