Proposed safety and mobility improvements for Fruitridge Road, Arden Way and Auburn Boulevard will be available for public review this fall, with two upcoming community workshops offering residents an opportunity to provide feedback.
The workshops are part of Sacramento’s ongoing efforts to develop the Arden Way-Auburn Boulevard Mobility Plan and Fruitridge Road Safety and Mobility Plan, which aim to make the corridors safer and more accessible for people walking, biking, rolling, driving and using public transit.
All three roadways are part of Sacramento’s Vision Zero High Injury Network, which identifies streets with some of the highest concentrations of fatal and serious injury crashes.
Following earlier rounds of community engagement and technical analysis, City staff developed proposed improvements for both corridors and are seeking additional feedback before finalizing the plans.
“Community feedback has been an important part of developing these plans, and we’re excited to share the proposed improvements,” said Transportation Planning Manager Elizabeth Boyd. “These workshops give residents an opportunity to see how their input was used to shape the draft concepts and share their thoughts before the plans are finalized.”

Community feedback gathered during the workshops and pop-up events will help inform the final plans.
