Be sure to change your clocks and do a few other things on Sunday November 3.

When you turn your clocks back on November 3, be sure to also do the following!

  • Check your smoke detector and carbon monoxide detectors! Sacramento Fire Department recommends that you check your smoke detector and change the batteries when you change your clocks to ensure that they working properly. Remember- you should have a smoke detector in each bedroom and at least one on each floor. In California, all single family homes are required to have a working carbon monoxide detector. It could save your life!
  • Change your sprinkler timers. The City code changes with the time and limits watering to once a week. Sacramento residents and businesses can water anytime on Saturday or Sunday ONLY. There is no watering allowed on the weekdays during the wet winter months. Spare the water Sacramento!
