Small businesses in Sacramento now can register for more than 80 virtual events hosted by expert advisors.
The free webinars, which run from Oct. 20 to Dec. 30, cover a range of topics including creating marketing plans, understanding business planning, doing businesses with governments and other relevant themes.
The events are part of the City’s Small Business Recovery program, which included forgivable loans and the recently launched technical assistance that helps local small businesses navigate the economic impacts of the pandemic.
“Helping our small businesses is vital to sustaining our local economy and workforce,” said Lorrie Clark, economic development project manager. “These virtual webinars can help our local small businesses advance in their industries by teaching them best practices in building business plans, marketing to customers and being financially viable so they can survive, thrive and grow in this COVID-19 landscape.”
“I am so glad to be able to host these events and provide business services to help our local small businesses that are struggling to recover during this pandemic,” said Kenny Sadler, founder and principal of Berkley Strategy Advisors, one of the technical assistance program providers. “These events, plus the one-on-one consulting services and business-plan-development services we are providing, won’t just immediately help businesses. They will help them for years to come.”
