Need a plan for repaying student loans? Attend this webinar from the City’s Financial Empowerment Center

Join the City’s Financial Empowerment Center (FEC) on a webinar at 3 p.m. Wednesday, June 22 to learn about student loans and discuss the most recent changes on student loan repayments from the federal government.

Attendees will hear from the FEC coaching team as they review general information about student loans (i.e. define general terminology, discuss types of student loans, explain repayment plans, etc.) and discuss the most recent changes on student loan repayment from Washington.

“The City’s Financial Empowerment coaches are here to help all adult Sacramento residents access resources and build financial health,” said Amy Williamson, the City’s Financial Empowerment Manager. “We will be hosting quarterly webinars on different topics that impact Sacramentans to help them learn more about these issues. We can also set up one-one-one coaching to help them work on their financial goals.”

Launched in 2020, the Financial Empowerment Center supports local residents in building long-term financial health through reducing debt, building savings, improving credit, and/or connecting with safe, affordable checking/saving accounts. Professional coaching services are available in English and Spanish to all residents 18 and older.

To request an appointment, call 916-808-4927 or email FEC@cityofsacramento.org. For more information, visit the FEC website here. The FEC coaching team is employed by the Sacramento office of International Rescue Committee in partnership with the City.
