City activates weather-respite center March 13-15

With the National Weather Service issuing a high-wind warning, the City of Sacramento is activating weather-respite operations at its Outreach and Engagement Center (3615 Auburn Blvd.).

The OEC will provide weather respite from 5 p.m. Wednesday (March 13) to 11 a.m. Friday (March 15).

Walk-ups will be accepted, with the OEC able to accommodate up to 50 guests as part of its weather-respite activation. The center has storage available for personal belongings if needed and will accept pets.

Department of Community Response staff will be distributing free Sacramento Regional Transit passes to individuals expressing interest in accessing weather respite at the OEC.

Weather respite at the OEC is available to all community members. If you need assistance in accessing weather respite, please call 311 and make a self-referral to be connected to an outreach worker.

The City will continue to monitor the National Weather Service’s forecast and extend weather-respite operations as needed.
