Learn how to create landscapes that save you water and money at this April 16 webinar

City of Sacramento residents on April 16 are invited to learn how to save money with water-efficient landscapes during a free webinar hosted by the Department of Utilities.

“Spring is a great time to start thinking about how you can transform your yard using plants that can grow and thrive with less water,” said William Granger, the City’s water conservation coordinator.

During the webinar, staff will explain how eligible customers can get rebates for making water-saving improvements, including up to $3,000 to convert grass to drought-tolerant landscaping and up to $800 to upgrade the efficiency of irrigation systems.

“Our rebates are meant to help make the switch to a water-efficient lifestyle more affordable,” said Granger. “Staff will be on hand during the webinar to help you get started and answer any questions you may have.”

People can register online for the event, which is scheduled from 11:30 a.m. to 12:30 p.m.
