Schools and youth programs can now access the relaunched artlook® Sacramento, an online platform that connects them with local arts education providers.
The platform, updated by the City’s Office of Arts and Culture, features enhanced support to Sacramento’s growing arts education network, linking teaching artists and cultural organizations with city schools and out-of-school youth programs throughout the region.
Administrators, teachers, principals and arts coordinators can use the site to explore programs offered by arts organizations and independent teaching artists.
Users can search by provider name, artistic discipline, program type, and age group served, providing a streamlined way to connect with arts education opportunities for young people.
“Sacramento is home to a rich and diverse selection of arts education providers eager to support youth in our city,” said Melissa Cirone, grants and programs manager for the Office of Arts and Culture. “artlook® Sacramento provides access to programs that serve the needs of our young people and connects them to quality, relevant, and accessible arts and culture.”
To support new and returning teaching artists and cultural organizations, the Office of Arts and Culture will host a virtual training with Parliament, the platform’s national developer, at noon on Wednesday, April 29.
The online training session will provide guidance on applying and creating an artlook® profile. Arts organizations and teaching artists are encouraged to attend. The webinar can be accessed via Zoom.
