Sacramento will welcome many of the world’s top swimmers this week as the 2026 TYR Pro Swim Series comes to the North Natomas Aquatics Complex May 20–23.
The North Natomas Aquatics Complex has become one of the region’s top competition venues, featuring Olympic-caliber pools, stadium seating, timing systems and athlete support amenities capable of hosting national-level events. Located adjacent to North Natomas Regional Park, the complex regularly hosts youth, collegiate and elite swimming competitions throughout the year.
“The North Natomas Aquatics Complex was designed to serve both our community and major events like the TYR Pro Swim Series,” said Jackie Beecham, director of the Youth, Parks, & Community Enrichment Department. “Facilities like this give residents great places to play and stay active and help Sacramento shine as a destination for major competitions that bring energy, pride, and visitors to our city.”
The Sacramento stop is one of three marquee meets on the 2026 TYR Pro Swim Series circuit hosted by USA Swimming, alongside events in Westmont, Illinois, and Indianapolis, Indiana. The series features a revamped format with increased prize money and attracts Olympic and international-caliber athletes from around the world.
Among the expected competitors are Olympic gold medalists Torri Huske and Ryan Murphy, as well as Sacramento-area native and 2025 World Champion Luca Urlando. Murphy’s appearance marks his first meet since competing at the 2024 Paris Olympics.
The USA Swimming event will be hosted locally by Dart Swimming and televised nationally, with coverage available through the USA Swimming Network and select finals coverage expected on Peacock.
“Dart Swimming is proud to be able to host the 2026 TYR Pro-Series at the Natomas Aquatics Complex,” said Billy Doughty, head coach and CEO of Dart Swimming. “This event will bring in some of the top American Olympic swimmers including Torri Huske, Ryan Murphy, and local 2025 World Champion Luca Urlando. It will also bring in elite level International swimmers and be televised on NBC. We are blessed to have such an incredible facility and supportive City staff helping us create this amazing meet.”
The event is expected to draw athletes, coaches and spectators from across the country, generating additional economic activity for local hotels, restaurants and businesses in the Natomas area.
In addition to competition, fans will have opportunities to attend athlete autograph sessions and purchase tickets to the event through Dart Swimming’s TYR Pro Series event page.
