Sacramento’s annual Veterans Day parade is Nov. 11. Here’s what is planned

The annual Veterans Day parade in downtown Sacramento will take place Saturday, Nov. 11.

Hosted by the Veterans Affiliated Council, this year’s activities include an opening ceremony, parade, vendors and resources, a car show, food trucks and more.

This year’s theme is 75 years of women’s integration into the military and the 50th anniversary of the Vietnam War ending.

The parade starts at 11 a.m. in the Crocker Park (211 O St.) area and follows the below route:

  • North on Third Street
  • East on Capitol Mall
  • South on Ninth Street
  • East on N Street
  • North on 16th Street
  • West on L Street

The parade will disband at Ninth Street at approximately 12:30 p.m. The ceremony will begin in front of the California State Capitol at 1 p.m.

Please note that 10th Street will be closed between N and L streets from 8 a.m. to 6 p.m. Metered street parking is free all day.
